Expanding a bit on the ideas presented in the two Opportunities With Software Manuals articles… the very same type of infoproducts can be developed and sold for websites. After all, a lot of sites out there are in essence software applications, aren’t they? And/or they provide services complex, involved or even promising enough for users to want more information about them.

A “blog,” as you all know, stands for Web log, At its core and most basic, a diary, in case anyone’s asking. But just like everything else in this world, it’s morphed into something else that people need, in this case a very powerful but yet relatively easy to implement — but more importantly, easy to comprehend — online publishing solution.
Which means that never before has it been easier (and I do mean that quite sincerely) for editors to get into publishing online without doing much in the way of creating new content. Through the use of all this new-ish blogging tech and other resources available today, in other words, it’s now relatively simple for a solitary editor to become a productive (and profitable) publisher.

Here’s the second of my two ideas on how to capitalize on the fact that software developers and programmers aren’t really very good at writing documentation and instructions for their “products.”
Part 1’s idea was pretty straightforward, something you can probably guess without thinking too hard, with a prospect pool limited to commercial software (that includes shareware, by the way). All bets are off with the idea in today’s post, boys and girls, with the prospect pool expanding to include anyone and everyone with a viable end user base… freeware products included!
