Advertising is expensive. And it costs you the same amount of money to run an ad (or mail a letter) that brings in 2 customers as one that drives in 20 customers. So that difference is in your ad (or letter).

Let’s say you’ve come up with what you think is a good ad (powerful headline, good offer, sizzling copy, etc.), now you’re ready to test.

GoogleLots of information being bandied about on how to improve your site’s or blog’s rankings on the search engines… on Google in particular. People write tips about it and discuss the subject at length on forums; heck, there’s no shortage of commercial products and services built around that specific topic.

Interesting. Even more interesting is that one of the clearest and most helpful “guides” on the subject is free, direct from the horse’s mouth! And not even all that long, in case you’re wondering.

A Few Top Google SEO Techniques

GoogleI am by no means a general SEO expert, let alone one with specialized Google knowledge and skills. Which means I have a tendency to read anything and everything easily digestible written by others on the subject.

So, after seeing enough of these Google SEO tips and articles, you really can’t help but notice commonalities. I originally was thinking of calling these commonalities something like “good bet SEO techniques,” but frankly, I have no idea whether they work or not — we just see them mentioned frequently enough to make us pause and consider. (You’ve got to admit, though, with some of them, I can’t possibly be wrong.)
