Article by Ogo Ogbata. Reasons why it’s to your benefit to be versatile. Mr. Ogbata’s reasons #1 and #2 are, well, already givens as far as I’m concerned. But point #3 is something I think a lot of writers and other creatives need to have tattoed on their foreheads in reverse type, so they’ll be reminded of it every time they look in the mirror. What a beautiful crisp Autumn morning. While taking my son to school, I was awestruck by how vibrant the leaves were. I’ve often missed the beauty around me, being focused on my destination. Since my vacation at the beach, where my condo overlooked a lush, natural setting, I am more appreciative of nature. Whenever I feel cramped or fidgety, I know that it’s time to go outdoors.

Nike’s ad has taken on new meaning for me of late; “Just do it!” runs through my mind like a mantra. Although my dreams have nothing to do with athletic shoes and little to do with athletics (unless you count the long list of ideas I have developed which revolve around my sons and their activities), I have spent a long time avoiding the one thing I’ve always wanted to do — write.
