The idea: Write and publish your own list or collection of related recommended resources, specific to your particular niche or subject.
Start off by doing a Google search on the keyword or keyphrase that interests you. Assuming you’ve used the appropriate search term, the first couple of pages of search results should give you all the resources you’ll need to write about! Assuming a page per resource, graphics and all, you’ll have a pretty substantial and useful ebook when you’re done. Of course, you’ll be heavily using the resource websites as an information source and the foundation for the content you’ll be writing; on the other hand, no one said you couldn’t quote those sites liberally either in your manuscript. Learning to quote effectively, in fact, is one heck of a timesaving technique.
If you think about it, doing your own ebook of recommendations this way won’t really take that much more time than, say, sitting down and writing a bunch of requests to authorities, answering any of their questions, then editing/reworking their “submissions.” You’ll even be able to do away with the waiting time between reguest and submission.
