Even if you’re working with other people, why futz around with complex groupware solutions or services when you don’t have to? Really, folks, simplify when you can, and if a todo list will do the trick…

Here are two free online services that I recommend above all others. Once you figure out each’s “way of doing things” (and it really doesn’t take very much figuring), you’ll be zooming right along. Both are pretty gosh-darned slick and smart enough for what I do, and I suspect many of you will conclude the same for yours.

• Ta-da List
• Todoist

I’ve tried them both, and of the two, I’ve decided to use Todoist — more features I can use, specifically where dates and calendars are concerned. But for projects where I need to collaborate with other people, I’d very likely go with Ta-da List.
