Is There Really Money in Blogging?

Written on July 24, 2008 – 9:33 pm | by Wordpreneur |

Uh, yeah, there is. The question is, “How much?”

Here’s a post on Income Diary you’ll want to check out:

Top Bloggers: Monthly Income List

I wouldn’t call this list authoritative — no indication where the numbers come from — nor even comprehensive. All listed appear to be in the same “niche,” and even within that group, it’s quite obvious going through it that this list has a long ways to go before it can be considered a decent measure of the industry.

But who cares? We just want to look at the top 10 or 15 or so. I’m familiar with a number of them; good bet that the reported numbers are at least in the ballpark.

If anyone can talk Google into releasing data on the monthly top AdSense-earning blogs, now that’s what I call a list!

Like this post? Maybe you'd like to buy me a cuppa joe! It'll help keep me awake to write more, of course. Thanks!

    Interesting list, E-Man.

Actually, now that you mention it, I wonder why Google doesn’t release earnings information. Wouldn’t that attract others into the Adsense arena?
