Chicken Money: Ultra-Safe Places for Stashing Your Cash

Written on July 22, 2008 – 11:43 pm | by Wordpreneur |

In case you haven’t noticed: The economy sucks. Even if you don’t look at the numbers, as writers I’d like to think you all at least notice people. Surely you haven’t missed the high state of nervousness among the populace. And that — surprise! — will make the economy suck, if it isn’t doing so already. Funny how things work, huh?

In any event, I just thought you’d find it interesting if not quite helpful to read this excellent article I came across on the TheStreet: Ultra-Safe Places to Stash Your Cash. It’s a relatively quick read all about where to put your “chicken money” — money you can’t afford to lose — and it points you to a number of low-return but high safety options that help give you the warm fuzzies about your moolah in these nervous times.

FYI.

Good link, but I was expecting something along the lines of “stash your money in a rusty sucrets tin in a hole in your mattress.” That’s safe, right? :)

BTW - long time reader. Thank you for great content!

    Hi Amy
The Sucrets under the mattress thing is safe… except now we know where the Quiet Rebel Writer keeps her chicken money. :-)
