Multiple Feeder Blogs

dollars from trafficYou’ve got a main sales site, pushing your ebook, infoproduct, or whatever it is you’re selling. Maybe not even just a single product, but a number of related products/services (because, if they’re not related, what are you thinking?).

You no doubt want to drive traffic to your sales site. Lots of ways to do that, of course. Here’s one relatively free/low-cost strategy, however, that you may have overlooked:

Publish smaller but related blogs that feed prospects and customers to your main sales site.

Simple. Using WordPress on cheap hosting (e.g., Site5), it’s easy. Throw in some good domain names (as I mentioned before, I use GoDaddy) and produce some content that attracts traffic, and you’re on your way to producing more sales for your site/product.

Duplicate content? No need to go that route if you are able to break your “niche” or target market even further into smaller special interest groups — and chances are, you can.

Here’s a real world example: I publish and sell GolfIncome: eBay. To help produce sales for that, I feed it traffic from a couple of golf blogs I publish: HumanGolf (which focuses mostly on golf equipment and accessories) and Golfdirt (golf technique). Neither is a traffic powerhouse, but combined they produce a good number of prospects for GolfIncome: eBay.

BONUS: Both also produce additional revenue from affiliate sales and Google AdSense. I’ve stopped at two golf sites since I’ve got better things to do, but what about your niche? How many market segments can you come up with? How many feeder blogs can you produce and run? Can you imagine what it would mean to your bottom line if you could do 3, 5 or even 10 separate blogs, all drawing traffic feeding your main sales site with prospects (not to mention the bucks they’ll generate in AdSense and affiliate revenue)?

And, remember, you haven’t touched other sources of traffic yet!
