Microsoft Offers $44.6B for Yahoo!
It must be true, since this link goes to Yahoo! News.
Well, maybe you can’t exactly use this information. But it sure will be interesting to watch how this develops!
Not that I think Google’s got much of anything to worry about — it’s where it is today because it’s darned smart — but this will surely keep them on their toes.
Personally, I’d like to see MS succeed at this bid. Think about it: You, me and Dupree win out at the end of the day.

What makes MS think that this would save them? I have several small business websites and several other domains with Yahoo, and I use Yahoo search (as well as Google); however, if Yahoo succumbs to the pressure, it doesn’t mean MS gets my business. I will take my websites and other business somewhere else the minute I find out. MS is way too overblown as it is, they are way too impersonal and too expensive. Yes I use MS products, of course I do, but it doesn’t mean I want them in every corner of my business. If MS ends up with Yahoo, it doesn’t guarantee them the loyalty of Yahoo customers.
