Google AdSense Newbie Central
Still new to or unfamiliar with Google AdSense? That’s too bad; it is probably the easiest and fastest way to begin monetizing your blog or website’s traffic.
Sure, you could spend a few bucks on one (or more) of the oodles of books out there covering the subject (my fave: Joel Comm’s The AdSense Code: What Google Never Told You About Making Money with AdSense), but maybe you won’t have to, with Google’s new Newbie Central, their “complete resource for new [AdSense] publishers…”
Just a few of the basics covered (and believe me, there’s more, so you “intermediates” may want to check it out too):
- Get an AdSense account, if you don’t already have one.
- Sign in to your account.
- Get familiar with your account to take advantage of the many features [offered].
- Learn [AdSense] program policies to keep your account in good standing.
- Put AdSense on your site so you can start generating earnings.
- Set up your account for payments so that [Google] can send your payments in a timely manner.
- Subscribe to the Inside AdSense blog to keep up to date on the latest news, tips, and product updates.
- Join the AdSense Help Forum to be a part of the AdSense community and learn from other users.

Any obvious things that most of us in the blogging/Adsense world are missing?

From what I’ve seen, there are two types of Adsense users: newbs and not-so newbs. This is mainly for the former.
As for the latter, heck if I know what you know. If you’re happy with your AdSense, don’t bother. If not, I guess you’ll have to start reading.
