Personally, I hate having to deal with SEO and consider it a necessary evil. Thankfully, there are a bumch of good people out there who seem to really enjoy it, and do lots of the research, testing and monitoring so we don’t have to.

Even better: They’re usually willing to share what they know with us gratis. Such as this short but invaluable list (by Copy Brighter’s Brett Borders) of Google SEO techniques that apparently were rendered moot last year.
If you were thinking of spending a few bucks this year on some SEO “services” (like link recips, directory listings, etc.), you’ll definitely want to at least go through this list quickly.

We do reciprcation work for hundrds of clients, as well as directory submissions. We have hard proof that this guy’s imagination about reciprcated links and directory submssions is just way of base. None of our cleints were affected at all. Out of hundreds.

E, that is based upon our direct experience with hundreds of sites that reciprocate activley. That includes both clients and sites that we link with. New domains, old domains, it doesn’t matter. It still works, same as always.
