What Should I Read Next?
Interesting site, and a very good idea. I get mixed results however, something that should no doubt improve with more users and participation (getting to that point, obviously, is the hard part once the tech’s in place).
What it does: Enter the title of a book you’ve enjoyed and the author’s name, and the What Should I Read Next? site gives you a list of similar and/or related titles. Register (free) and maintain a “book list” of your favorites (users’ book lists appear to be what the site actually uses to generate its recommendations).
Besides being a very useful tool for us readers, I bring it to your attention for business reasons: links to the recommended books are all Amazon affiliate links. Buy a book and guess who gets the commission.
Sure, pulling off something of this technical scope would be danged difficult if you’re not a programmer, but who said you can’t manually put together similar “aff link loaded” product databases for your particular special interest market segment?
