Use Good Scotch Tape When Wrapping Gifts

Written on December 26, 2007 – 6:35 pm | by Wordpreneur |

Scotch TapeI’m not too bad at this wrapping gifts thing (and I’m self taught too!). Not that I’m particularly proud of this skill, but I did obviously just get reminded of it yet again (pat on back).

One other thing I got reminded of: Use Scotch tape (the good stuff) if you’re doing some serious gift-wrapping…

…as opposed to the budget, “Dollar Store” adhesive tape. No shades of gray here… the difference is indeed that black and white.

And everyone who’s wrapped gifts and used cheap tape will know exactly what I’m talking about.

The reason I’m posting about it: The next time a prospective client balks or complains about your higher rates, ask them if they’ve wrapped gifts before. and if so, if they’ve ever used cheap adhesive tape instead of the “genuine premium Scotch brand tape.”

If they’ve wrapped with cheap tape, they’ll get the point.

This’ll probably work better around Christmas, and only with gift-wrappers (so you had better be good at gauging who they may be). It is, however, something to add to your promotional toolbox for potential use.

Like this post? Maybe you'd like to buy me a cuppa joe! It'll help keep me awake to write more, of course. Thanks!
