Managing Multiple Projects Addendum

Written on December 7, 2007 – 9:00 am | by Wordpreneur |

A little addendum to that multitasking thing… I find that the techniques I describe in that post aren’t really specific to writing-related activities; they also work very well for other tasks we have to do and focus on.

Freelance writers, of course, have to spend a considerable amount of time continuously lining up more projects for the pipeline. That’s definitely not a writing thing. And we self-publishers (if you’re a blogger, that’s publishing too!) can’t spend all our time merely writing if we want to get anywhere with it. There’s promotion, SEO, schmoozing, blog software fiddling and maintenance, etc. etc. etc.

All properly handled using the simple techniques I described for effectively switching from focus on writing to any of these other activities and vice-versa.

Or we can always hire another warm body to do this other stuff. Now there’s a thought…

Like this post? Maybe you'd like to buy me a cuppa joe! It'll help keep me awake to write more, of course. Thanks!
