PINGNews Public Domain Collection of Photographs

Written on November 12, 2007 – 9:08 am | by Wordpreneur |

Bookmark for when you need it… check out this huge free collection of public domain photographs (government sources) on a wide variety of subjects. Looks like there are a couple of thousand images here, mostly black and white, many of which are high resolution (print suitable), all more than adequate for online use.

It even looks like each is properly keyword tagged to help you search for just the right image from its various subcollections (images from the Library of Congress, NARA, NASA, historical figures, etc.).

Here’s one way I’ll probably be using this resource: As a story or article idea stimulator. When you’re stuck, drop by and just browse through the collection and see if that unsticks you. I bet it will.
