Favorite Quotes on Trying
Here are some of my favorite quotes on trying, determination and courage. I always try to keep a copy of this small file on whatever computer I’m using… and whenever I’m feeling blah for whatever reason, I take a quick peek. Does the trick (that, and a lot of coffee!).

Just a few I’ve heard, which might be paraphrased; no idea who the original authors are.
Losing a battle does not mean the war is lost.
Trying gets one thing done, the action of trying. Doing accomplishes everything else.
The things learned during what is perceived as a failure may be exactly the experience required for a later, greater accomplishment.

Hi William
Your second quote sounds close to Yoda’s “Do not try. Do. Or do not. There is no try.”
If you think about it, it probably produced a whole generation of non triers. Not really too motivational, is it?
