Serendipity’s Random Generators

Written on September 18, 2007 – 11:05 am | by Wordpreneur |

Often find yourself stumped for character names, setting descriptions, imaginary place names and/or names for other tricky (yet oh so important) story elements? Boy, do I have a must-bookmark site for you!

Check out the Serendipity site, chock full of random generators to help you get unstuck with names for characters, places, things and more.

A few of my favorite generators:

  • Room Description Generator
  • Chinese Restaurant Name Generator
  • Color Name Generator
  • Character Description Generator
  • Villainess Name Generator

TIP: Even if you don’t need unsticking, it’s a great place to drop by to help develop new ideas. It’s almost like brainstorming!

Like this post? Maybe you'd like to buy me a cuppa joe! It'll help keep me awake to write more, of course. Thanks!

Something else to do, especially with names, when you’ve narrowed them down to a few choices, is to get a numerology reading on the names. This numerology site has free readings. They’re fast. The names’ profiles could help make the final decision about which name to use, might even make the choice obvious.

Excellent suggestion William! I’ve been using a dartboard myself. But your Affinity Numerology site seems like more fun. :-)
