If you’re thinking of entering a literary or poetry contest — you’ve no doubt seen the ads, and when word gets out that you’re a “writer,” you’ll probably get a neverending stream of invites for these in your email inbox like I do — you’ll want to check out this resource first.

The Literary Contest Caution page features a growing collection of links to articles, reports, video clips, exposés and other resources focused on helping you spot and keep away from the literary and poetry scams that, unfortunately, have proliferated on the Net. They’re all designed to do at least one thing very well: separate you from your money.
