It’s Mine Now!

Wordpreneur reclaimed… it’s mine again!

Well, technically it’s always been “mine,” but the past few years (since its inception, really), Wordpreneur.com has predominantly featured “other people’s content.”

Nothing wrong with that… and I did spend a considerable amount of time “filtering and owning” the content (at least, that’s what I call the time-consuming task of scouring available articles, selecting suitable ones, categorizing, then proofing/editing much of it to up the quality to the site’s standards… or, as what some of you like to call it, “what pro editors and publishers do”) to make it all useful and easily accessible to you, not to mention try to give you a reason to come back for more…

…but at the end of the day, no matter how much filtering and owning I did, there was precious little “unique” to differentiate each article from the other writers’ sites that also eventually picked up and published the originals.

Again, not that there’s anything wrong with that — in fact, it’s a decently lucrative way to “publish” online (remind me some day to show you how this is done easily and effectively). Thing is, since there is precious little creating involved, for guys like me with short attention spans and with way more than just one passion in life, the non-creative stuff just doesn’t hold my interest for long.

Ergo, long pauses between site updates as everyone waits around for the topic to grab my attention once again.

Not good enough. So, screw it, I’m taking it back and making it all mine. Rather, all original anything-and-everything-Wordpreneur posts. All well and good, you say, but what does that really mean? Well, at least for now, the bottom line is…

At least a post per weekday, from me, on just about anything revolving around what this site’s all about… which, Grasshopper, as a reminder is: “How to Make Money Writing.”

On a separate related note, yes, I’d still be very much interested in running articles from other writers/publishers, but I’ll put that in the backburner for now as I get things rolling again.

Ready? Let’s get to work…

Like this post? Maybe you'd like to buy me a cuppa joe! It'll help keep me awake to write more, of course. Thanks!

    Cool stuff, Eldon.

It takes a lot of attention to actively maintain a blog. Yet, I’m sure it will be much more interesting to me when I know who is writing it.
